Current Volunteer Positions

Board Member

Description: Join Lavish Leaf and help promote and develop community centered, sustainable lifestyles.

Responsibilities may include

Attend monthly or quarterly board meetings
Create, develop, and promote Lavish Leaf products, services, and events
Assist in obtaining sponsors, fundraising, and grants
Interview, hire, schedule, and coordinate staff for events and services
Educate others and ensure Lavish Leaf remains true to its mission and vision

Farm Hand

Description: Assist with day to day operations of the farm. Watering, planting, harvesting, and more.

Responsibilities may include

Water plants when needed and check and monitor soil and plants
Harvest produce and wash and package produce
Fill germination trays, make soil blocks, and sow seeds
Transplant seedlings, repot plants, and clean equipment
De-weed garden beds and monitor garden for diseases and pests
Mix and make compost teas and fertilizer and spread onto garden beds

Social Media Coordinator

Description: Promote Lavish Leaf and interact with our customers on Lavish Leaf's social media accounts.

Responsibilities may include

Create content, posts, and ads to promote our products and services
Reply and respond to comments and direct messages
Support, guide, interact, and connect our customers through social media
Collaborate and assist management with promotional goods and services
Regularly take pictures and videos of the farm and processes

Delivery Driver

Description: Pick-up compost and recyclables from customers. Deliver produce and plants.

Responsibilities may include

Using your own personal truck to pick-up compost and deliver to Lavish Leaf Farms
Using your own personal truck to pick-up recycling and deliver to recycling centers
May be required to sort recycling materials
Teach and inform customers on accepted composting and recycling materials
Collaborate with and train other pick-up drivers
