Read this before you play. Every player accepts it, every season.
Online StoreWaiver version 2026-09. Last updated 30 September 2026. This is the Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement for every league, tournament, practice and event run by Lavish Leaf Inc, an Oklahoma corporation, under the name Lavish Leaf Rec Sports. It is written in plain language on purpose. Plain language does not make it any less binding.
Every player accepts this waiver personally, before their first game of a season. You accept it by ticking the box at checkout when you register, or by signing a paper copy at the field. The version number you accepted is recorded with your registration.
A team registration does not accept this waiver for anyone. Whoever pays for a team is paying the team's fee, nothing more. Each player on that team still accepts this waiver for themselves, through their own player registration or on paper, and a player who has not done so will not be allowed on the field. If you are registering a team, please make sure every player knows this before the first Sunday.
You must be 18 or older to register or play in an adult league.
1. You understand the risks. Soccer is a contact sport played outdoors on natural and artificial surfaces. Taking part carries real risk of injury, including sprains, fractures, concussion, heat illness, collisions with other players, goalposts or the ground, and in rare cases permanent injury or death. Fields, weather, lighting and other players are not within our control and are not always what they should be. You have thought about this and you choose to play anyway.
2. You are fit to play. You confirm that you are in good enough health to take part, that you have no condition that makes playing unsafe for you or for anyone else, and that you will stop and tell the referee or the league if that changes during a game or a season.
3. You release us. To the fullest extent Oklahoma law allows, you release Lavish Leaf Inc, its officers, employees, volunteers, referees, sponsors, and the owners of any field or venue we use, from every claim, demand or cause of action for injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property that arises out of your taking part, including claims that arise from the ordinary negligence of the people released. This does not release anyone from liability for their own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, which Oklahoma law does not allow a waiver to cover.
4. You indemnify us. If someone else brings a claim against the people released because of something you did on or around the field, you agree to defend and reimburse them for it.
5. Medical care. If you are hurt and cannot speak for yourself, you authorise the league to call for and consent to emergency medical care on your behalf. The cost of that care is yours, or your insurer's, not ours. The league does not carry medical insurance for players; the league's own insurance covers the league.
6. Conduct. You will follow the rules of the game, the league rules published on the Rec Sports page, and the instructions of the referees. Fighting, abuse of a referee or another player, and being under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the field will get you sent off and can end your season without a refund. Fair play is the whole point of a rec league.
7. Photographs and video. Games are sometimes photographed or filmed for the league's own website and social media, and you may appear in them. If you would rather not, tell us at support@lavishleaf.org and we will do our best to leave you out and to take down anything you ask us to.
8. Your things. We are not responsible for anything left at a field or a venue.
This agreement is governed by the law of the State of Oklahoma. If a court finds any part of it unenforceable, the rest still stands. It is the whole agreement between you and Lavish Leaf Inc about the risks of playing, and it lasts for the season you registered for and for any league event you attend in that season. It does not take away any right that Oklahoma or federal law says cannot be waived.
Refunds for registrations are covered separately in the Refund Policy, and purchases in the Terms of Sale.
Ask before you tick the box, not after. Email support@lavishleaf.org and we will answer plainly.
